St Paul's Church, Bow Common is the most famous and significant parish church to be built in Britain in the latter half of the twentieth century.

Unusually for a modern building, it is Grade II* listed.

The church’s unique design crystallised architectural and theological thinking about the form that the church should assume in the post-war era.

This important building marks a critical moment in British architecture, poised between progressive attitudes to both design and theology.

Eddie Tulasiewicz made this short video The UK’s Best Modern Churches: St Paul’s Bow Common with the National Churches Trust to explain the importance of the building. It features our Prebendary Duncan Ross, the vicar from 1995—2013.
