Ruth McCurry

Hi my name is Ruth and I am a Council Member at St Paul’s Church, Bow Common.

After a childhood in Iran I returned to England and grew up here. I started out as a teacher in secondary schools, and married a priest – we had three children, all now in their fifties, and I have four grandchildren too.

After 30 years I left teaching and worked in publishing as a commissioning editor at Cassell, and then at SPCK. I love St Paul’s Bow Common because of the people I get to know: they are all ages from 0 – and from at least 10 different countries.
